I’m pretty happy today!! You wanna know why?? I’m happy cuz I lost a few centimeters off my waist and muffin top!! Woohoo~!!! I didn’t lose inches and that’s why I said I’m pretty happy. But I think if I did measure my overall body, I think I did lose an inch or two! Yayyy~!! Happy Happy Joy Joy!!

I’m tired of people saying “You’re not fat lahh..” or “If you lose more weight, I won’t be able to see you!”.. Whatever! I just wanna be happy and I wasn’t happy with the state of my muffin top and thighs! And I’m still not. I have 2 more inches I wanna lose from my thighs and a lot more from my muffin top! I think I’m pretty satisfied with the size of my upper body. It’s just my muffin top and thighs that I really need to work on.

So how did I do it?? Well, I’m glad that I didn’t need treadmills to help me out and I didn’t even do much cardio. All I did was watch what I ate, drank protein shakes and did some resistance training. I think the resistance training did a much better job than cardio. Oh, and I also cut down on my rice intake. I only eat rice once a week! Even as I’m typing my body is cravingggg for some sugar but that’s why my protein shake is chocolate flavored!! Yummy!!

So for those who are also struggling to lose some inches, don’t ask yourself how much you wanna lose, but how much you wanna win! If obtaining your ideal body is a win for you, then you’re more likely to shed the fat because as it’s only natural for human beings to hate the concept of ‘losing’ (I read that from the Abs Diet and the book definitely helps!!)… So for any of you on the same path as I am to losing a dress size, then here’s to us!! I know we can definitely do this!! Shemahhh… one word.. Phuket!! LOL!!!

I’ve always thought of myself as a well behaved shopper. I’m not impulsive like my Mom. I don’t buy a Chloe Paddington bag, just to have it chucked in the closet and never see the light of day. If you want me to show the bag some sunlight, I’d be more than happy to Mom!! Hehehe..

But yeah, I’m a good shopper. However, here’s the weird thing about me… I usually set off to shop knowing what I want! If I want a bag, I’ll get a bag. If I want a sequin dress, I’ll get a sequin dress.. The problem is, when I don’t find what I want, I gotta have it substituted! So if I can’t find a sequin dress, that means I gotta buy something, anything! It could be a book. Or even just a magazine! The point is, I need to spend my money on SOMETHING!

So last Saturday the same thing happened. I was actually on the lookout for some headbands, and a new pair of wayfarer sunglasses. But when the ‘aunty’ from where I usually get my sunglasses told me that she just sold the blue wayfarer’s (the particular one that I was looking for!!!), I was totally bummed. To top it off, the headbands that I wanted were no where to be found. So this only means one thing, I gotta get a substitute! I was thinking of lingerie cuz I could use a new set, but before I could think it through, my eyes saw shoes that I absolutely just hadta get!! So I did! I got these…

I’ve gone back to the 80’s ladies and gentlemen~! I’ve gone back to the days of neon pink and green and everything patent! And that’s why I need my wayfarer sunglasses! Nothing is more 80’s than that! And I think I found some really cool ones on eBay.. They’re not the original Ray-Ban’s though, but it’s ok~! I still want those wayfarer sunglasses and I’m so gonna get them!!

Rafiq was back for the weekend again! He’ll be back for good in 3 weeks time, but that hasn’t stopped him from coming back to KL to spend his weekend here. And you know what happens when he’s here… We eat! I seriously gotta invest in a good fitness equipment if this goes on! He’s really been missing everything here, especially the food! So since he was craving for good food, I thought I’d take him to Tony Roma’s. I didn’t really know if I was bringing him to the right place cuz I’ve never been there myself. But since Nick was singing praises about the eatery, I thought I’d give it a go~!

I’ve always been a TGIF kinda gal, so I was a bit skeptical about Tony Roma’s. I did search for other reviews about it from other bloggers and from what I read, it wasn’t all that good. So I suggested that maybe we should try Bubba Gump Shrimp that opened recently at The Curve instead. I was really curious about the whole Forrest Gump theme going on, and I really wanted to give it a go. But after seeing the menu, Rafiq and I decided we’d go there when our pockets were a bit fuller! Hehe.. So after much thought, I figured we should just give Tony’s a go. Not everything on TGIF’s menu is that good either but I still love going there. So why not, I thought. I won’t know how it really is until I tried it for myself.

So we decided on Tony’s and as soon as we entered, we were greeted by enthusiastic cheers of “Welcome to Tony Roma’s” from 4 maitre’ds.. Hmmm.. Off to a nice start! We were seated in really comfortable settee, and not long afterwards a waiter came over to serve us. Seeing as it was my first time there, I asked him what their specialty was, only to be replied with a blank stare and a “Huh?” That’s when I figured, “Oh nooo.. this is gonna take some time!”.. I quickly told him to give us a minute and when I was ready to order, I chose another waiter who was clearly local! The order was quick! Just the way I like it!

We ordered Onion Loaf, which I heard from other bloggers to be really yummy, Bleu Cheese Burger cuz Nick and Marzie said it was good, and Grilled Garlic and Rosemary Chicken cuz the waiter said it was one of their specialties besides the ribs.

Verdict?? The Onion Loaf was pretty good! The onions were not soggy at all as claimed by some bloggers. And I think what made it super yummy was the dip. The onions by itself was just ok, but the dip really gave it its extra uumph! The Blue Cheese burger was just ok too. The burger patty wasn’t as good as TGIF’s and it wasn’t juicy even though Rafiq ordered medium rare. The Grilled Garlic Rosemary Chicken was not what I expected cuz I couldn’t taste a hint of rosemary at all. It was more garlic-y.. But the chicken was cooked really well and wasn’t too dry. The broccoli was really good and nicely done. The rice was the worst cuz it tasted exactly like chicken rice you can get at any hawker store. Seriously, like ‘nasi ayam melayu style’!!

Overall, it was an ‘okay’ lunch. The service could be better but is still definitely better than TGIF Pavillion! The food… I prefer TGIF. And the price? Well, I’ll go for TGIF’s 3-course meal anytime.

Since I was in high school, I was never subjected to any really bad rumours.. Well, not that I knew of! But as far as I was concerned, there were never really any crazy rumors going on about me. Even if there were, most of the times they were true! LOL! And I never cared what people really said about me anyways!

However, I think it was about months ago that I heard something soooooooo ridiculous being spread about me! I was shocked out of my brain! The fact that I heard it from someone who I just know through acquaintances made me even positive that the silly rumour has gotten around and may even have gotten way out of this world! I don’t know why I never blogged about it, cuz I think it just slipped out of my mind somehow.. Furthermore, like I said, I never really cared what people think of me. But while I was having one of my moments daydreaming in the shower, I was suddenly brought back to this crazy rumour!

And this is how I found out…

It was quite a while ago, I think end of last year, when a group of kids from MMU decided to hang out for some drinks cuz it was after finals and all, so we just wanted to chill.. All of us knew each other from friends of friends and some of us even grew quite close. However, we weren’t what you would actually call BFFs.. I had my own tight circle, and these friends from MMU were just sorta like ‘chill out’ friends and Rafiq and I only started chilling with them for about 8 months.

So anyways, there we were chilling out again and the conversation started flowing and I began talking to this other girl who I’ve only met a coupla times. Let’s call her MissThang. You could sorta call her the ‘famous’ girl of MMU cuz most people would know her and she was one of those girls that people loved gossiping about. She would walk into a room and eyes would automatically move towards her and whatever conversation that people had would be halted and the conversation would instantly turn into a “You know what I heard about MissThang” kinda conversation. And yeah, she knew people were talking about her but she couldn’t care less anymore cuz people have mouths and there’s nothing you could do to stop ‘em..

Soooo… I was chitchatting with MissThang when suddenly she said she wanted to ask me something. And what she asked was the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard! Apparently, she heard from someone who heard it from someone who heard it from someone that Rafiq cheated on me (that’s not the crazy part) and in retaliation (here’s the crazy part), I was gonna…. wait for ittttt…. run over the girl Rafiq was cheating on me with, using Rafiq’s car! Hahahahaha!!! Absurd or whattt?? Apparently I was driving his car when I saw her and I wanted to run her over! Dayum, if Rafiq had Asanti grilles on his car, even an elephant could die if I ran over it! Goshhh~!! Seriously people, I have no idea where you guys come up with such things! And bear in mind, I’m a part time student so I’m hardly ever at campus! And I don’t even hang out with MMUians on an everyday basis. So the fact that they were gossiping about ME made me felt kinda like a.. celebrity!! Aww.. I’m touched! LOL!

Anyways, all I could do was laugh at that moment. MissThang said she had a feeling it wasn’t true so she immediately wanted to know it from the Diabolical Hit n Run Driver herself!! LOL!! She said she knows what it feels like to have stories circulating about you and no one even bothers to ask you themselves if it’s true of not. I on the other hand, just wanted to know one thing! Who the hell was the girl that I apparently wanted to run over?? Hahaha.. Seriously! I mean, if this crazy rumour could have started, there must be a name behind the so-called victim! LOL!!
