Laugh Out Loud

I was really lucky to have great friends around during my ‘healing process’. We did so many things together and although dancing and boozing might have sounded like the best way to heal, nothing beats laughter. I must admit that we DID go out clubbing almost everyday of that particular week. Butttt… laughing until my sides ached still felt better than having a huge headache the next morning. Yes, cliche as it may sound, laughter is the best medicine. And I didn’t know how true it was until I really needed it.

So if any of you need to have a good laugh, go to this costume store in Sunway Pyramid. And take loadsa pictures when the storekeeper isn’t looking. Hehehe.

C’elleing In on Christmas

My distant cousin just asked me yesterday if I’ll be going back to Kuching for Christmas. And I thought, “Woww, it’s been ages since I went back to Kuching for Christmas!”. Back when my grandmother was still alive, yeah sure we’d go back almost every year to celebrate with her. And that was like 5 years ago. Since then, I haven’t had a real family Christmas. Not that I need to since I’m Muslim anyway. Hehe. But it’s just the thought of holidays and family combined that makes me yearn for another Christmas holiday.

But at least I know I’ve got a family to come back to anyways. Some people are not as fortunate as I am to spend Christmas with their family because they simply dont even have a family to begin with. I know a lot of couples who are yearning to start their own family so they’d be able to celebrate holidays with their loved ones. I wonder if C’elle would be an appropriate gift for Christmas. Heard of C’elle before? You could read About the Science of C’elle at their site. Currently they’ve got Protect Baby, Protect Mom®, the ultimate combination of services offering the best of both U-Cord and C’elle to protect moms and their newborn baby. I think that’s a pretty good idea for a holiday gift. After all, isn’t the holidays all about family. For those of you who might be interested in the product, you guys can read C’elle Client Testimonial.

As for me, Christmas this year is gonna be spent shopping and buying a gift for myself. Hehe.. Oh, and Shakira too. I gotta get her a Christmas pressie~!

Opening Up

Yay! It’s time to get to know Ratu Syura better. Hehe. It’s been such a long time since I did a quiz from BlogThings.com. There was a time when these quizzes were only useful for one thing; fillers! But looking as how my money making posts are drying up and fillers are no longer needed, I turn back to my old ways of blogging. So since I’m in the mood to blog and I don’t feel like talking about my diet (which turned out disastrous) or even the best diet pill, I thought I’d share something about myself through one of those interesting personality quizzes from BlogThings. I don’t really know how accurate they are but whatevs.. they’re fun to do. :D

I did a whole lotta quizzes and I wanted to post all of ‘em but one that I found pretty interesting and worth sharing was a quiz on how open minded I am. The last time I checked, these are the things that I’m open to:

* It doesn’t bother you to see two men kissing.
* You could be friends with both a liberal Democrat and a conservative Republican.
* You wouldn’t secretly judge a friend who had an STD.
* You have friends that are very rich - and friends that are very poor.
* You don’t think any one religion is better than any other.
* You aren’t offended by off color jokes - even racist or sexist ones.
* You think that everyone is probably a little bisexual.
* You don’t think less of someone who is on welfare.
* You could potentially be friends with anyone, even someone you may dislike intensely right now.
* You are open to debating your beliefs at almost any time, with anyone.
* You think there may be something to astrology, tarot, and fortune telling.
* It’s fairly possible that your political beliefs might shift radically over time.
* You listen to (and appreciate) all types of music.
* You can appreciate trends without worrying about feeling trendy.
* You think that it’s possible that people have had contact with aliens.
* If your lover cheated on you, you would listen to their explanation and consider staying with them.

And the results?

You Are 64% Open Minded

You are a very open minded person, but you’re also well grounded.
Tolerant and flexible, you appreciate most lifestyles and viewpoints.
But you also know where you stand firm, and you can draw that line.
You’re open to considering every possibility - but in the end, you stand true to yourself.
